Third Trimester!?

Still not sure I’ve really wrapped my head around the fact that I will be a mother of two soon. As an only child myself, it’s a bit of a foreign concept. I knew I always wanted children and always hoped I would have multiple – but that idea coming to fruition is still not fully realized. But I feel so grateful that we will soon have two. I know that even after this bean is born, it will still take time to get comfortable with and I know that the moments of gratefulness will be interspersed with moments of total F-ing chaos but we’re okay with that. And we’ve already learned that the gratefulness always outweighs the chaos and even in the chaos you have to find the time to be grateful. As a mother, my mind is forever busy and my heart is forever full.

This last week or so has been so super crazy. Our family just bought our very first house. And with a toddler a pregnant belly and a full time job- you can imagine it’s been busy. We are still living out of boxes but I pulled aside a few basics that I can mix and match until we get more settled. The Protector Lover Mother beanie is an easy small accessory that I can use to make an outfit feel a little more pulled together and, well, accessorized haha. Also, you can’t go wrong with all black right?! I paired it with my LB Crossover tee and a ripped black jean for an easy, edgy, put together look. Now no one has to know that almost everything I own is still in boxes.

This was the last shot we took of the day just being silly- pretty pleased to say I’ve still got jump skillz at almost 7 months pregnant! haha.

23 Week Stripey Bump

Friends of ours got married Monday in simple courthouse wedding. I left work an hour early so we could join them in celebration with a little reception of sorts at their house. I packed heels to dress this look up post work, but they are the most uncomfortable heels I own and….I’m pregnant, so turns out I just wore leopard slip ons to the party. 😉 It was so nice to be able to celebrate with them! Congrats K& V!!

22 weeks and dressing some what spring like today- sorry east coast- no snow here.

Peanut is with me at work today! Look at the third photo in that series of 4 above- ridiculous and entirely typical. She’s totally a sneaky french kisser- whether you are interested or not.

Patterned shirt: Old Navy $20 -they actually make a maternity top in this same awesome fabric, but personally i preferred this sleeveless non maternity cut.

I’m totally “mom’d” out today with my Protector Lover Mother beanie AND my Madre tee! For this casual rocker maternity look I’m wearing my Blanqi support tank (which I wear every single day!) which is long enough and tight enough that I can still wear all my favorite skinny jeans (unzipped of course) without anyone having a clue. I layered this stretchy polka dot tank underneath for a little peek a boo surprise. A denim vest fits nicely under a leather jacket and adds some more texture and detail to an otherwise simple look. And all the layers and options are perfect for the unpredictable LA weather!

Halfway through this pregnancy and still not wearing much maternity. I did however invest in a Blanqi support tank and so far I love it! As a petite lady, the belly band never really did so much to hold my jeans up. It basically just covered the fact that they were unzipped/unbuttoned, but didn’t really keep anything in place which was annoying. Not only does the Blanqi keep my pants snugly in place, it also offers support and smoothing. Win Win. I was unsure about the $70 price tag so I purchased from Nordstrom’s online since they have a great return policy. Also reviews recommended buying a size up. For example I am a XS but I ordered the small and it seems like the right fit! So far I am wearing it everyday under everything so it seems like a good investment.
