I’m still figuring out my post pregnancy wardrobe. In part because I am a weird size, in part because I am still trying to disguise my little belly and in part because I am nursing. This outfit, it turns out is nursing perfection. I’m simply wearing this loose cotton top over my comfy cotton Target nursing bra. The wide neckline of this top gives me easy access to nurse without having to pull a shirt up or unbutton or anything.
wooooo MaMa looks TIRED!
Top: Cotton On
Jeans: Old Navy Maternity ($20)
Nursing Bra: Target ($17)

I woke up and had my heart set on having a Starbucks soy chai latte. John always teased me for liking these and would say it tasted like “liquid cake”. But since I cut out caffeine during the pregnancy, it had been nearly a year since I had one and it sounded like a nice treat. Turns out that after a year apart – John was right, it tastes like liquid cake. Haha! It was super sweet! Oh well, we enjoyed our walk anyway!
Stroller stripes too!
Tank Top: TJ Maxx (flowy tops or bust!) Similar ($15)
Black Skinny Jeans: Old Navy Maternity ($20)
Leather Sandals: Thrifted
Sunglasses: Old Navy ($12)
“Diaper” Bag: TJ Maxx ($34)

Oliver is going through a growth spurt right now and literally eating around the clock. I haven’t been able to get out much or do much based on the fact that the kid is always eating! Today was no exception really, but since I didn’t really leave my yoga pants yesterday, I felt like getting ready for the day anyhow. Even if all we did was go to our office to finish some wedding work and do some blogging.
It was really bright out so my top looks weirdly iridescent but its just coral. Strangely enough my shoes ARE kind of iridescent natural/gold but you can’t tell haha.
Coral blouse: Old Navy $10
Jeans: Old Navy Maternity (yep, still wearing those) $39
Shoes: Fake Tom’s via CVS $12.99!!!
Earrings: Kate Spade $45
You can barely see itty bitty Ollie here but his adorable yellow leggings are from Little Hip Squeaks ($36)

You’ll have to bare with me as I attempt to regulate my outfit posts. The truth is we rarely know what day it is around here and some days are cuter than others haha. Also, papa has to be the new photographer and he’s still workin’ out a few kinks in the system.
This tank actually has a cool “native” pattern (for lack of a better word) in tiny white matte sequins down the front- but it was tough to get a decent picture.
Outfit
Mama
Tank: H&M $10 (this is one of the other tops that I purchased on clearance in a larger size, specifically for this post pregnancy transition phase). Also as a side note- I’m relying pretty heavily on layering a spaghetti strap tank underneath whatever top I’m wearing because it makes life easier when breastfeeding.
Jeans: Old Navy Maternity $35- maternity pants are actually real handy when you are no longer pregnant but no longer your pre-pregnancy size. Plus, no one can tell the difference!
Shoes: Converse $45

Stripe Onesie: Target
Baby Sweat Pants: Polarn O. Pyret
Socks: Old Navy
Anchor Beanie: Baby Gap
Papa
Shirt: J.Crew
Jeans: Levis 501′s

We are starting to get back on the horse, little by little. We have been out and about lately, just to try things out and get out there. We have been running errands, grabbing coffee etc. It’s just nice to get out of the house and also to challenge ourselves to figure this all out. How do we work around the babies schedule? Where do we stop to change the baby? Or drop everything and have a breastfeeding session?
My wardrobe is still in a weird transitional place. I’m definitely not able to fit into my pre-pregnancy size zero pants, that’s for sure!! And since I literally just had a baby eleven days ago (!) I still have a little bit of a tummy that I’m not keen on showcasing. So I picked up a few over-sized tops like this awesome neon embroidered top from H&M. During my pregnancy, I purchased a few bottoms that were not maternity items, but rather just several sizes larger than my pre-pregnancy size. These items are proving to be quiet helpful during this transition period (like these shorts), but I have also still been wearing some of maternity pants as well. Another bonus is that now that my swelling has subsided, I can wear these sandals again! Also, two things: 1. The swelling got worse before it got better (just for a few days). Can you even imagine it worse than it was?! 2. I still haven’t really tried many of my shoes on and don’t know yet if my feet have changed sizes for the long run. I also think I am still a little bit swollen, so we will see.
Papa got in on the action today hehe
Today was a new mama success in that I showered, washed my hair, CURLED my hair AND repainted my toenails! Boom!
Oliver didn’t really have his “fashion face” on today. He’s like “whatever guys…I’m napping”
Check it out guys, I made a baby. And hes adorable!

Rockin’ more men’s tee shirts today. Still have to buy my own (i.e. cant borrow any from the hubs). I spotted someone on instagram wearing this one and had to get it. I love The Gaslight Anthem plus it had an anchor on it, how could I not?! Still feeling super comfy and easy today but the headscarf and lipstick helps me feel accessorized and pulled together.
I got told (AGAIN?!) that I looked like Popeye today. Apparently I’m channeling a bald buff old sailor. Get into it.
Pregnancy Status: 38 weeks! Totally in a waiting game now with this baby. Just watching for signs.

This might be one of my favorite late in the game maternity dresses. In other words, when not much fits, or makes you feel great, I feel like this dress delivers. And double bonus, its super comfy. I wore it for my LA baby shower and also for my recent maternity shoot. Also I love coral. It’s one of my favorite colors for spring/summer. It’s bright and happy and it really pops against tanned summer skin.

This used to be a tunic thing. I usually wore it as a beach cover up over my swimsuit. But today, it fits like a tee shirt. Keeping it simple and comfy but still fun with a little pattern.
